NPH Overcomes Town's Attempt to Prevent Formation of Union

In a case litigated by NPH partner Peter Perroni, the PELRB rejected the Town of Hampstead New Hampshire’s attempt to prevent the formation of a local police union.  Following a hearing in February and the submission of legal briefs, the PELRB ruled that both police dispatchers and police sergeants could properly organize with full and part-time patrolmen to form a union containing the ten employee minimum required by New Hampshire law.  The PELRB will now proceed to an election where an affiliate of the NEPBA is expected to be certified.
